Scientific Worth Index
For Publishers
Scientific Worth Index helps publishers inspect how covered journals appear in independent citation windows, quartile groups, self-citation views and authorship risk indicators. Publisher feedback is used to correct metadata and improve coverage quality.
Our index is being expanded and validated. Please report errors and omissions to admin@scientificworthindex.com.
What publishers can review
Publisher teams can use journal profiles to review title, ISSN, E-ISSN, country, publisher name, official website, subject mapping, article volume, citation history and self-citation signals. Annual tables make it easier to spot sudden changes, missing years or metadata gaps that should be checked before a journal is compared with similar titles.
- Confirm the official journal name, abbreviation and website.
- Review article counts and citation windows for unusual jumps or missing years.
- Check whether subject and subsubject assignments match the journal's real scope.
- Compare self-citation indicators separately from external citation indicators.
- Send correction evidence when publisher, ISSN or coverage data is incomplete.
Correction and coverage workflow
Correction requests should include the journal's full title, ISSN or E-ISSN, publisher name, official URL and a supporting source such as the journal website, DOI records, catalog pages or publisher documentation. Requests are reviewed against the available data before changes are reflected on public profiles.
How to interpret portfolio indicators
Scientific Worth Index indicators are designed for comparison within a defined dataset, year and subject context. A publisher should not treat a single rank or quartile value as a full editorial assessment. Strong interpretation combines citation windows, article volume, journal age, self-citation balance, metadata completeness and documented editorial practices.
Independence notice
Scientific Worth Index is independent from publishers and does not represent any named publishing organization. Publisher names and journal titles are used to identify scholarly records and help readers interpret the dataset responsibly.
